The MercedesCup’s first Sunday was one for traditional culture.
The Weissenhof called and the traditional customs flocked to it. Dirndl dresses and lederhosen were the great eye-catchers (besides, of course, the arrival of superstar Roger Federer).
On this day, the TC Weissenhof was transformed into a fun fair. The people came in droves to spend this brutally hot day on the site of the MercedesCup and to turn it into a folk festival. A live band played the fitting tunes and – just like on all other days of the tournament – regional delicacies were offered. The icing on the cake was a traditional custom fashion show by Krüger.
