Mischa Zverev battles for final

Stuttgart,

Today, the semi finals are played at the MercedesCup at Stuttgart’s Weissenhof.

The fans will have a chance to cheer on the last remaining German already in the first match of the day (1.45 pm): No. 6 seeded Mischa Zverev will take on Spaniard Feliciano Lopez. Zverev won his quarter final in two straight sets against fellow country man Tommy Haas. Lopez had to fight much harder before ousting Tomas Berdych from the Czech Republic, the no. 3 of the tournament, in three sets.

In the second semi final (not before 4 pm), the fans will be treated to a pure French battle between Lucas Pouille, the tournament’s no. 4, and Benoit Paire. Pouille ousted local hero Philipp Kohlschreiber in three sets, while Paire advanced past Jerzy Janowicz from Poland in two straight sets.
