On Wednesday, no less than three Germans will grace the MercedesCup’s centercourt.
The day starts at 11 am with the match of Yannik Hanfmann (GER/WC) against veteran Frenchman Jeremy Chardy. This match is followed by German qualifier Peter Gojowczyk against Australia’s John Millman, the tournament’s number 8.
The third match of the day will see a battle between neighbors Germany and Austria as Dominik Koepfer takes on Jurij Rodionov. Koepfer recently had the great Roger Federer on the cusp of defeat at the French Open while Rodionov entered the main draw thanks to a wild card.
The day on the centercourt is closed out by the match between Feliciano Lopez (ESP) and Alexei Popyrin (AUS).
The Mercedes Court will also see some high class action. The first match of the day features qualifier Altug Celikbilek (TUR) against Sam Querrey (USA). Fans should take special notice of the third match here, as Swiss youngster Dominic Stricker will make his MercedesCup debut against qualifier Radu Albot (MKA).
